Biography
Biography
Beatrice Lena obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Physics in 2014 from the University of Pavia, Italy. In 2016, she received her MSc degree in Biomedical Physics: her Master thesis involved analysis and optimization of quality control protocols for functional MRI at 3 Tesla.
In September 2017, Beatrice started her PhD at the Image Sciences Institute at the University Medical Center Utrecht. Her main research topic is MRI-guided High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (MR-HIFU) therapy for painful bone metastases and her work focuses on imaging methods for guidance and evaluation of the therapy.
